This program will be virtual. This 2 week course has a focus of reinforcing skills from Algebra 2 as well as introducing topics common to all Precalculus classes. Algebra 2 topics included are factoring, exponents, functions, equation solving of rationals, radical, linear, quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and transformations of functions. Precalculus topics include an introduction to right triangle trigonometry and the unit circle. The goal of the course is to shore up existing Algebra 2 skills and build confidence moving into Precalculus. There will be two synchronous meeting times per day, one at 10am and one at 1pm. There will be independent work time in-between class meetings.
WAITLIST This class will be online. Using real-world applications and hands-on projects, this introduction to 6th grade math will help prepare students for the upcoming school year. We will provide opportunities to practice mathematical note-taking, and study skills and explore topics such as mathematical expressions, fractions, decimals, percents, estimation and more. This program serves as a reinforcement of key concepts and foundational skills that will help students find success in their 6th grade math class. *Note this class is not an acceleration class. Only students entering 6th grade in the fall will be permitted to take this course.
