Why Choose Us?

Georgetown Day School’s summer camps and classes are coed, preK-12 programs in Washington, DC for kids who love summer math, service learning, STEM, art, outdoors, and more! Our summer studies catalog includes hands-on learning experiences, such as traditional day camp, STEM camp, and art camp. Students can avoid the “summer slide” with academic reviews and prep for the new school year. GDS summer studies teachers and counselors focus on providing the best experience for each child, from elementary grades through high school.

In the Algebra 1 Review class, my daughter really renewed her understanding of Algebra. The class was demanding but reasonable. It made her more confident of going back into Algebra II.

My son is really happy with the pinball machine he made with his bare hands. The game is actually addictive and we have all been playing it.

You can find soccer camp everywhere, but pinball maker camp... only at GDS! My son had the opportunity to work with 3D printers, wood, and tools while doing math. He said it was even better than he expected!

From the very first day, my son stated that coding class was his favorite camp of the summer. And he loved Elvin!

My daughter was always excited and wanting to practice what she learned during camp. She wanted camp to continue once it was over.

I wanted to get the kids to try out debate as public speaking is such a great skill. I had tried in years past to get them to do the after-school debate. Now that they tried it and loved it, they are hoping to continue in the GDS 360 debate program.

My children had great fun. The camp teachers are awesome and the kids love them. The change of scenery daily and the opportunity to get wet and/or muddy was greatly appreciated.

My son had a blast. Each day was different and super fun. The hikes were awesome, as were the activities that were added in. He also loved the teachers!

Thank you for your patience! You took my daughter from being frustrated - yet challenged - on day one to being a proud mathematician on day two!

I would like to thank you for a great summer camp/classes at GDS. My daughter enjoyed the whole program—it was a fun and educational experience. Math is a challenging subject for my child, but after taking summer classes at GDS she felt more confident and ahead of her grade group.
